Car Seat Headrest covers David Bowie’s ‘Blackstar’

Will Toledo adds the Car Seat touch to Bowie's final bow.
Will Toledo, the genius that bestows a wealth of albums upon us as Car Seat Headrest, has turned his hand to a particularly sombre and fitting cover of David Bowie’s swan song, ‘Blackstar’. He also covered the song at Pitchfork Festival over the weekend, to those lucky ones in attendance.

Performed as part of in-studio session at Milwaukee’s 88.9 radio station on Sunday, he also treated listeners to two cuts from his extensive back catalogue, ‘Unforgiving Girl (She’s Not An)’ and ‘Times To Do’, from ‘Teens of Denial’ and ‘Teens of Style’ respectively.

You can stream the audio on 88.9’s website.
