Caroline Polachek has debuted her brand new single, ‘Billions’.
The song was played live in her live sets towards the end of last year, and follows up on her standout track of 2021, ‘Bunny Is A Rider’.
Produced by Caroline and longtime collaborator Danny L Harle, ‘Billions’ is released on Caroline’s own label imprint Perpetual Novice.
Speaking about ‘Billions’, Caroline explains: “The overabundance of this world overwhelms me. Sometimes it seems like ultimate tragedy, the earth being pillaged and destroyed for it. Sometimes it seems pre-human, beyond morality, sublime. I don’t pick sides, I just live here, with you. How does it feel, being so rich?”
It comes alongside B-side ‘Long Road Home’ – a vocal rework of her 2020 collaboration with Oneohtrix Point Never. The two tracks will be released on a limited edition red translucent 7″.
