Cavetown has announced the inaugural benefit concert for his non-profit organisation This Is Home Project.

The show is set to take place on 11th January at Racket in New York City, and will feature performances by Cavetown, mxmtoon, Chloe Moriondo, Cafuné, Penelope Scott, Yot Club, Sydney Rose, and Spookyghostboy. Tickets are on sale now.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to New Alternatives, a New York City charity focused on ending homelessness for LGBTQIA+ youth. The organisation provides long-term support, harm reduction, and addresses other critical aspects of the healthy development of children and teens.

This Is Home Project, founded by Cavetown in October 2022, provides funding to foundations dedicated to helping LGBTQIA+ youth in need. Through the project, Robin aims to increase access to LGBTQIA+ related physical and mental healthcare, safe housing, and more, both on a larger scale and on a more personal level.

Since its inception, This Is Home Project has benefited organizations such as the Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project, True Colors United, Trans Lifeline, BTFA Collective, and Stonewall. Over the next three years, the project aims to donate a minimum of $1 million.

In November, Cavetown released his fifth studio album, ‘worm food’. You can grab a copy of his cover of our November 2022 issue here.
