In an exciting new development, Charli XCX has announced that she has signed a brand new recording contract.
In an episode of Vogue’s ‘In The Bag’ series, the ‘Sucker’ hitmaker revealed that she had secured a deal for two albums, saying “We’re in business”.
The news follows Charli XCX’s tweet back in 2020 that her fifth and final album under her current deal with Atlantic Records would be ‘Crash’. The singer signed with Atlantic when she was just 16, so this new deal marks a significant milestone in her career.
Speculation is already rife as to who Charli XCX has signed her new contract with, and fans will no doubt be keen to hear more details.
In the meantime, Charli is hard at work – last week she was in the studio with Robyn and producer Patrik Berger, and it’s clear that the singer is wasting no time in getting to work.
