Charli XCX is “excited to be forming a supergroup with No Rome and The 1975”

The much-anticipated collab must be here soon, right?

Charli XCX has tweeted her excitement at “forming a supergroup with No Rome and The 1975

It’s the latest development in the much anticipated collaboration, which was first teased 18 months ago.

Earlier this month Rome tweeted that the song was “coming out sooner than u think”, with “the masters done and waiting on video cuts”.

This is the first time the collab has been referred to as a supergroup, though. Which granted, is probably just a fun way of phrasing it – but also, does that mean we can have synchronised dance moves, and maybe matching outfits? Thanks

We first heard about a team-up back in August 2019 when Matty Healy tweeted that he’d sent a beat to the popster at “5pm yesterday”, and woke up next morning to “A MONSTER TUNE!!”

In a reply to one fan, who asked if Matty was going to feature on the track, he answered: “not sure yet but me and [No] Rome and George [Daniel, The 1975’s drummer and production mega-wizz] produced”.
