Dork’s Chart Attack is back for some festive fun with Band Aid 20’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’

So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Well, we’ve brought back our pop culture time capsule podcast Chart Attack for a very special Christmas episode.

So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Well, we’ve brought back our pop culture time capsule podcast Chart Attack for a very special Christmas episode of course. With the Band Aid series due a revamp in 2024 (shut up, it is), we revisit the third version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’, released in 2004.

A middling time for the British music scene, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ (Band Aid 20’s Version) saw the track embrace bore-core, in a Chris Martin-led critics choice fest.

Our first Christmas special also sees us discuss an ideal Christmas Day, dream up our Band Aid 40 fantasy league, and in the absence of Gail Platt, Martyn watches an episode of cd:uk, you know, for a Christmas twist.

You can download the entirety of season one of Chart Attack via all the usual podcast providers, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and more. Subscribe now to make sure you never miss an episode.

Our Christmas special will also be broadcast on Sunday (that’s Christmas Eve – how fitting!) via Dork Radio at 6pm GMT. You can tune in via the Dork Radio app. Available for iOS and Android, it also allows you to get all the latest music news direct to your mobile device. You can also listen at readdork.com/radio, or via TuneIn on iOS, Android and more.

Chart Attack is brought to you by Dork. It’s hosted by Abigail Firth and Martyn Young and produced by Patrick Gunning. Chart data is sourced from the Official Charts Company. You can follow us or get in touch across socials @chartattackpod or via the Dork accounts @readdork and @dorkradio.
