Check out Amber Arcades’ new song ‘Alpine Town’

She wrote the single while feeling a bit sad on holiday.

Amber Arcades – Dutch-born musician Annelotte De Graaf – has released a new song.

‘Alpine Town’ follows on from ‘Goodnight Europe’ and ‘Simple Song’, all of which are taken from her upcoming new album, ‘European Heartbreak’, due for release on 28th September via Heavenly Recordings.

“I wrote this song exactly a year ago while on holiday in Guillestre, a small town in the French Alps,” she says. “I was kind of in a sad place and my boyfriend had dragged me along to get away from all that, but I guess it doesn’t really work like that, ha. It just made me reflect on the sad part of the tourist condition as a metaphor for life, man.”

Amber Arcades will tour the UK in support of the release this October, with a run that includes a night at The Dome in London on 10th October.
