Check out James Blake’s new covers EP, ‘Covers EP’

How does he come up with these titles, eh?

We all need something to do while we wait for this whole ‘pandemic thing’ to blow over, right?

Rather than make banana bread or try to learn a new language, James Blake has instead decided to do some music-based stuff, dropping a brand new EP of covers.

Enigmatically titled ‘Covers EP’ – how did he come up with it, etc etc – it features six takes on other people’s tracks, including his version of Frank Ocean’s ‘Godspeed’ and Billie Eilish’s ‘when the party’s over’.

“Doing these covers and live performances has kept me going this year…” said Blake as he announced the EP on social media. “I chose to record a few in the studio and it turned into this EP.”

“It’s been a joy to discover new music and new ways of playing songs I’ve already heard.”

You can check out ‘Covers EP’ below.
