Chilli Jesson has shared a spicy new single, ‘Carolina Reaper’

  • Finlay Holden
  • November 9, 2022

Chilli Jesson has returned with his fiery new track, ‘Carolina Reaper’, and even released his very own hot sauce in collaboration with Dr Will’s.

The new song joins a flurry of releases in 2022 as the ex-Palma Violets bassist redefines his sound with high-energy soundscapes in a style he dubbed “born-again pop,” in the recent Dork feature, which you can read online here.

Following his ‘St. Vitamin’ EP and the stand-alone single, ‘Circles’, Jesson has returned with an ode to the world’s hottest chilli pepper. Released today via Fiction records, the dramatic track is driven by moody guitars and explores the idea of situational narratives not being quite as they first may seem.

To celebrate the new release in a more jovial fashion, Chilli has released his very own Hot Sauce in collaboration with Dr Will’s, the CEO of which is a childhood friend and was happy to design a product in the singer’s namesake.

You can listen to ‘Carolina Reaper’ here, and watch the Charlie Pryor-directed music video below:

Chilli Jesson is supporting The Districts on tour later this month – the full live dates read as below:

November
15 Nottingham, Bodega
16 Manchester, Band on the Wall
17 Bristol, Fleece
18 London, Powerhaus
20 Margate, Elsewhere
