CHVRCHES have what appears to be the first new music since the release of ‘Screen Violence’ and its Director’s Cut with the announcement of something new, titled ‘Over’.
The band shared a short video clip on social media late yesterday (February 10th), with an accompanying caption reading: “OVER – Coming 2023.”
The trio’s Lauren Mayberry opened up about the sexual harassment she’s experienced online, after watching Emily Atack’s BBC documentary Asking For It?
“Lots of people keep talking to us about this year being the tenth anniversary of the first CHVRCHES album, which got me thinking about a lot of things,” she wrote in a social media post. “So many of the experiences I’ve been able to have in that decade have been truly wonderful but it has also been ten years of the kinds of abuse Emily so eloquently talks about in her documentary.”
Been a while since a Notes app moment 💀

Watched the #EmilyAtack documentary on @BBCiPlayer and it broke my heart — for her to be experiencing those things, but also how relatable it all was…
