CHVRCHES, Royal Blood, Charli XCX and more have all joined the line-up for Reading & Leeds 2019

  • Dork News Desk
  • January 31, 2019

Another batch of new bands has been added to the line-up for this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.

The bumper collection of names includes the likes of CHVRCHES, Royal Blood, Charli XCX, Blaenavon, Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Peace, current Dork cover star The Japanese House, No Rome and The Wombats.

There’s also room for Alma, You Me At Six, Ten Tonnes, Circa Waves, Bloxx, Enter Shikari (who will play four sets across the weekend!), Twin Atlantic, Slowthai, Mura Masa, The Night Café, Bloxx and The Hunna, amongst others.

They become part of a bill already featuring headliners The 1975, presumably with not just their most recent full-length ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ to showcase, but also its much anticipated follow-up ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ too. Following up on 2017’s Latitude headline set, it sees them topping the bill at one of the traditional big two UK festivals for the first time.

They’ll be joined by Foo Fighters. It’ll be the first time they’ve headlined R&L since 2012.

Twenty One Pilots will also be grabbing a Main Stage headline set in 2019. Fresh off the back of their new album ‘Trench’, they’ve been moving up the Reading & Leeds line-up in recent years. The headline bill is completed by Post Malone, who pulled one of the biggest crowds of Reading & Leeds 2018 – something that’s sure to have paid a big part in securing top billing this time around.

Other names already announced include Bastille, who are set to drop their third album ‘Doom Days’ this year, Pale Waves, Sundara Karma, Blossoms, Billie Eilish, PVRIS and The Amazons.

Reading & Leeds 2019 takes place between 23rd and 25th August. Tickets are on sale now.

Check out all the new additions in the poster below.
