Cigarettes After Sex have returned with a surprise new one: ‘You’re All I Want’

It’s the first new music from the band since last year’s second LP ‘Cry’

Cigarettes After Sex have surprise-dropped a brand new track, revealing ‘You’re All I Want’

Bringing together that renowned recipe that makes Cigarettes After Sex truly stand out from the back, it’s another woozy and lush track perfect for watching the sunset on a warm summer evening. You can of course listen to it at any time, we don’t control everyone’s schedules (yet)

Speaking about the track, Greg Gonzalez from the band explained that the track was “Recorded in the summer of 2017 during the sessions for our second album, Cry. The initial takes of the song were finished in the courtyard of the house we were staying at in Mallorca, late in the evening, right as a thunderstorm was rushing in over us. Almost 3 years later, having just moved to LA, I finally wrote the lyrics & they ended up telling a story I saw as a fantasy or dream involving my girlfriend & I. Sort of reversing our roles & retelling the way we met, while imagining what a sweet future might look like together…”

‘You’re All I Want’ is the band’s first new music since the release of second album ‘Cry’ last year, with Cigarettes After Sex also currently set to return to the live stage at the end of the August – bringing rescheduled UK headline shows to London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds and Bristol.
