Circa Waves end up in a film, within a film, within a film in their new video for ‘Fire That Burns’

  • Dork News Desk
  • February 9, 2017
Circa Waves are setting things alight all over the shop at the moment, with recent stormer ‘Fire That Burns’ now getting a certified stunner of a music video which finds the chaps channeling Italian horror movies in style.

It all goes down at a creepy manor house, with the video jumping from a classic horror film into a film set, into another film set of the film set – whilst all sorts is going on around some sort of matchstick killer. So, as you can imagine, it gets a bit intense – especially with Game Of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead Wright thrown in there as one such murder victim.

Chatting about the video, frontman Kieran Shudall said:

“When someone offered me the chance to be a serial killer in an Italian b-movie it was hard to resist…. I messaged Isaac from Game of Thrones on Twitter to see if he would be one of my victims and by some weird twist of fate it turned out he was a big fan of the band and agreed. It was great to do something away from your standard performance video and incorporate some early hammer house of horror into the song, it’s a monster!”

Circa Waves are gearing up for a monster year (see what we did there, with monsters and the… y’know) with the release of new album ‘Different Creatures’ lined up for March 10th – already sounding like an absolute heavyweight knockout of hooks and bonafide anthems. The band will head out on an extensive UK headline tour from the end of March, hitting dates around the country with support from The Magic Gang and Inheaven.
