“The best Late Late Show debut since Boyzone” – CMAT proves why she’s The Best on Irish telly

Less baby oil and braces, more country-pop brilliance - CMAT brings the razzle dazzle with her latest single 'Every Bottle Is My Boyfriend'.

In what some fans are calling “The best Late Late Show debut since Boyzone”, CMAT appeared on Irish telly last night to perform her latest single ‘Every Bottle Is My Boyfriend’.

The future World’s Greatest Popstar (copyright us – Ed) gave a typically brilliant showing, with the kind of grace, vitality and energy Ronan and co so famously offered all those years ago. Just with fewer braces and baby oil.

The final pre-release taster of her brilliant forthcoming debut album ‘If My Wife New I’d Be Dead’, CMAT says “This is a song about being defiantly chaotic, because being that, an agent of chaos, is something quite defiant for a girl to do. It almost didn’t make the album. But then I managed to shoehorn in a line about the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) and I felt happy it was representative of my drinking habits.”

‘If My Wife New I’d Be Dead’ is set for release via AWAL Recordings on 4th March.

And, because we have to, here’s Boyzone.

Iconic.
