The 85-act long-list of nominees for the Australian Music Prize has been released.
The Aussie equivalent to Britain’s Mercury Music Prize, Courtney Barnett, Troye Sivan, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Confidence Man have all made the cut.
Also in with a shot, are Camp Cope, DZ Deathrays, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, The Goon Sax, Tropical Fuck Storm, Middle Kids, Jack River, Loose Tooth, and The Presets.
A shortlist of nine releases will be revealed in early 2019, ahead of the winner’s announcement in March. The winner will receive A$30,000.
