Courtney Barnett: “The second half of the year I’ve logged off to maybe make an album”

She's told Billboard it's not a promise, though.
Courtney Barnett is taking the second half of 2016 to work on new material. Possibly.

Since releasing her debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’, Barnett has found herself nominated for Grammys, winning the Australian Music Prize, and one of the most in demand acts for the festival season around the globe.

Speaking to Billboard about new music, she explained: “I’m taking a bit of time off after the Milk Records tour to go away by myself and just gather my thoughts which have been in a jumble for the last year.

“Basically, the second half of the year I’ve logged off to maybe make an album or do something. But it’s not a promise.”
