Courtney Barnett and Tame Impala win at ARPA Music Awards

  • Dork News Desk
  • April 6, 2016
After cleaning up at the 2015 ARIA awards, Courtney Barnett and Tame Impala have continued their reign of musical supremacy at the 2016 ARPA Music Awards.

Barnett was named Songwriter of the Year, adding to ger four ARIA awards and the 2015 Australian Music Prize, plus a Grammy nod. It’s safe to say ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit’ has been a success.

Elsewhere, Tame Impala won Song of the Year for ‘Currents’ cut ‘Let It Happen’, which also stacks alongside five ARIAs and their own Grammy nomination.
