Daughter look ahead to their “really quite insanely big” UK shows

They'll play four massive headline shows later this month.
Daughter are playing a handful of massive UK shows later this month, with a four-date run that includes at stop at London’s Brixton Academy. Not that they’re nervous, of course. Ahem.

“I am terrified,” starts Elena Tonra in the new issue of Dork. “It’s going to be really quite insanely big. I almost can’t think about it.”

“It’s a weird thing,” the frontwoman continues. “Once you start playing, you almost lose the sense of the room. You can go out there and be absolutely terrified, but once you’re in the music, everything sort of fades. It just becomes the audience connecting.”

You can read all about the band’s upcoming shows in October’s Dork, out now – order your copy here. The issue also features Black Honey and Dream Wife, Jagwar Ma, Two Door Cinema Club, Girli, Spring King, Pumarosa, Hamilton Leithauser & Rostam, Kero Kero Bonito, Sohn, Sunflower Bean, Kloe, Nimmo, PWR BTTM, Drones Club and loads more. Phew.
