The sixth night of Dave Grohl‘s Hanukkah Sessions series saw the Foo Fighters frontman enlist the help of Karen O to perform Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ iconic banger ‘Heads Will Roll’.
Recording in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, the rendition has been described as a ‘Hanukkah-ized’ version of the classic track. A caption alongside the video reads: “Leave it to us to get the only non-Jewish member of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Hanukkah-ize one of their signature songs—here’s ‘Heads Will Roll’ featuring Karen O!”
The Hanukkah Sessions, which kicked off earlier this month December, has seen Grohl and Greg Kurstin cover a variety of different songs, from Blood, Sweat & Tears’ ‘Spinning Wheel’ featuring Judd Apatow to Janis Ian’s ‘At Seventeen’ sung by Grohl’s daughter Violet. The series also featured P!nk’s ‘Get The Party Started’, 10cc’s ‘The Things We Do For Love’ and Beck’s ‘E-Pro’.
