Del Water Gap has shared a new video for ‘All We Ever Do Is Talk’.
The visual was directed by Talia Ryder, with looks by Yves Saint Laurent. It’s taken from the announced but as yet unreleased sophomore album ‘I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left Yet’, set for release on 29th September via Mom + Pop.
Del Water Gap describes the video-making process “I met my director Talia Ryder in Marrakech on a trip with Saint Laurent. We share a deep love for cinema. Lynch, Jarmusch, Kar-Wai – so we wanted to make a piece that felt like a little film. She’s also a New York kid, and it was important to me to make a New York video.
“After the first day of shooting we wrapped at the hotel in midtown late night and Talia and my co-star Angel and I took a taxi uptown to Talia’s. It was three or four AM by the time we got in and we ate toast with butter on the couch and watched “How To with John Wilson” as the sky began to get light outside through the window. At dawn Talia dragged us all to the roof and shot us for another hour or so on her little camcorder from the early 2000’s. I was so tired I could barely see straight, but the shots we got ended up being some of my favorite of the video. I’ll never forget watching the sun come up over the city that morning.”
