Dexter has dropped a brand new track, ‘Paper Cup’, and announced ‘Dexter’s first sandwich party’

Who doesn't love a good sandwich party?

South West London’s Dexter has shared a new track, ‘Paper Cup’.

Alongside the new cut, she’s also announced she’ll be playing her first-ever show (kind of) at an event she’s titled ‘Dexter’s first sandwich party’.

A lo-fi gathering run by Dexter and friends at Off The Cuff in Herne Hill, London it’ll take place on Friday, November 26th.

The new track follows the release of her debut EP ‘I Do Love a Good Sandwich’ back in August, which includes singles ‘Still Got Time’, ‘Blue Skies’ and ‘I Like Me’. You can read more about Dexter in the new issue of Dork, out now. Dork Supporters, read the Hype feature here.

Of the new single, Dexter explains; “‘Paper Cup’ is about me feeling overwhelmed by my thoughts and how that can often stop me from doing the simplest of things, for example just getting a cup of water to drink, that’s why it’s called paper cup. I would’ve just sung ‘cup’ but it sounded better with paper. I also really wanted to make a song that was kind of dancey as I don’t really have any like that, something that has a more fast paced vibe to it and that’s different to what I have done before.”

Also, after a sandwich, you might want a drink.
