Dolores Forever have released ‘Conversations With Strangers’, the title track from their new EP.
The three-track release also includes previous singles, ‘Rothko’ and ‘Funeral’. The full project was completed today, November 10th, via Sweat Entertainment and follows May’s ‘Baby Teeth’. The London-based duo – Hannah Wilson and Julia Fabrin – come from Yorkshire and Copenhagen respectively, meeting at a house party and taking their connection to stages at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds festivals earlier this year.
On their new track, Wilson shares: “It’s about the dark feeling of being disconnected with the world around you. The way that conversations with strangers allow for anonymity and self-reinvention. And about the cyclical nature of anxious thoughts, the thoughts you stay at the party to avoid going home alone with.”
‘Conversations With Strangers’ arrives with a Francesca Allen-directed music video, on which she says: “In contrast to the heavier context of the lyrics, we wanted to create something playful, exploring the performative expression of joy and the notion of girlishness not as an age, but a state of mind.”
