Drenge are sending their robot chum out to meet the people in their new vid for ‘Fades To Black’

No, it's not a bucket. He's a high-tech machine!

Drenge have dropped a new video for the latest track to arrive from their new EP, ‘Autonomy’.

The clip is for ‘Fades To Black’, and features the band’s robotic chum DR3-NG3, who also appeared in their previous video ‘Before The War Begins’, and is in no way Eoin in an outfit made of some cardboard boxes and a bucket. He’s high tech, guys.

“After an online poll revealed 59% of Drenge fans (444 surveyed) found their promotional robot, DR3-NG3, to be in some way “problematic” we sent the automaton out to meet the people,” the band explain. “Here he is climbing Sheffield’s famous Moor high street, exhibiting simple behavioural standards and politeness programming.”

In truth, guys, we just find it problematic that you haven’t told us when that third album is arriving yet, but let’s not split hairs here. Because DR3-NG3 is made of metal (and definitely not a bucket).

The clip comes alongside news of a new show, Night Of The Living Drenge. Held in their hometown of Sheffield at Hope Works on 3rd November, it comes after an appearance at Cardiff’s Sŵn Festival on 18th October.
