Egyptian Blue are back with a bang on new track ‘Geisha’

It's their first new music in 12 months.

Egyptian Blue have made a welcome comeback with the release of their latest single ‘Geisha’.

According to frontman Andy Buss, the single represents a change in the band’s sound. “Initially that shift changed my feelings about the track, but we persisted and it became a completely new entity in the studio. Now it’s one of our favourites and we wanted it to be the first track back,” he said.

‘Geisha’ tackles the theme of coming to terms with the “incessant cycle of day turning into night” and the speed at which life can turn bleak. An intense blast of tight, tense energy, it’s a standout return from an act that pack serious promise.

The band’s music is well-known for its fierce, uncompromising sound and has earned them a following including the likes of IDLES frontman Joe Talbot – who described the band as “fucking sick” – and Foals’ frontman Yannis Philippakis who chose Egyptian Blue as support for the band’s ‘Life Is Yours’ tour run.
