Emily Burns has returned with another pop fave, revealing new track ‘Curse’ along with details of new EP ‘I Love You, You’re The Worst’
A personal and raw track, it’s the perfect track for late-night moments – opening up on love, loss and more for a vulnerable yet powerful ode
Speaking about the track, Emily explains: “It’s one of the most honest and vulnerable songs I’ve ever written. I wrote it about how everyone else seems to be able to fall in and out of love all the time, and it feels as though I’m an outsider, looking in. As if love is this transcendental world that only I don’t know how to access. I decided to use the word ‘Curse’ as a metaphor…making out that love is evil and that I don’t actually want to find it.”
‘Curse’ comes with news of a brand new EP from Emily Burns – with ‘I Love You, You’re The Worst’ set for release on July 24th. ‘Curse’ sits as the third single lifted from the EP, following on from the previously unveiled ‘Terrified’ and ‘Hello’
Emily Burns is currently set to tour the UK this October, calling across Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, London and Brighton – kicking off from October 17th
