Unlike the videos for other tracks from ‘Pure Comedy’ – like the Adam Green-directed clip for ‘Total Entertainment Forever’ that featured Macaulay Culkin as Kurt Cobain / bizarro crucified Christ – the ‘Leaving LA’ clip is unusually straightforward. It’s just Father John Misty and a string section, for 13 minutes in black and white. It’s rather lovely, actually. Check it out below.
