Feist confirms details of long-awaited new album ‘Pleasure’

Leslie Feist’s first album in six years is out on April 28th
We’ve seen word knocking about for a while, but now Feist has officially confirmed details of that long-awaited new LP with a release date and title in the books.

‘Pleasure’, Feist’s first album since the release of 2011’s Metals’, is set to land on April 28th – primed to be another stunning collection to add to the Feist mixing pot and an essential play for the months ahead.

Taking to Twitter, Leslie Feist shared the album’s artwork, along with a peek into the meaning behind the title.

“I titled the album ‘Pleasure’ like I was planting a seed or prophecising some brightness. Th experiences of pleasure is mild or deep, sometimes temporal, sometimes a sort of low grade lasting, usually a motivator. If the way you look at things is how they look, then my motivation is to look with a brighter eye.”

“I made this record last winter with 2 of my closest friends, Mocky and Renaud LeTang. I was raw and so were the takes. Our desire was to record that state without guile or go-to’s and to pin the songs down with conviction and our straight up human bodies.”

Feist has so-far been confirmed for appearances across the globe this summer, with slots at Way Out West and Oya already confirmed – with UK dates bound to follow at some point.
