Felix White from The Maccabees unveils a new club night

Titled ‘Yala’ - the first night takes place in a few weeks and features The Magic Gang.
Felix White has been a busy boy. He’s headlined Latitude with The Maccabees, made a storming album with them too and is now launching his very own club night called Yala.

Named after one of the tracks from his first solo release as ‘Cosmo’ three years ago, Yala is set to kick off in style on August 5th with an opening bill including a live performance from The Magic Gang alongside DJ sets from Mystery Jets and well… himself.

Speaking about the night, Felix said:

“It’ll be a community thing, where you have bands playing and lots of artists coming down. The Magic Gang are going to play, who I love with all my heart. They’ve got a contagious energy.”

Yala! is also a record label – so expect a string of releases over the next few months,

“We want to find groups to make records with, then put some vinyl out and have fun with it. I miss that early stage of getting a record together, and I’m still listening to loads of new groups – Crows, Meat Raffle and Magic Gang of course”

The very first night is set to go down at Bermondsey Social Club in London on August 5th, Follow @yalarecords on Twitter for more, with tickets on sale from Monday at only £5.
