Fickle Friends have shared another new album taster, ‘Alone’

  • Stephen Ackroyd
  • October 14, 2021

Fickle Friends have shared another new track from their forthcoming second full-length, ‘Are We Gonna Be Alright?’.

Titled ‘Alone’, vocalist Natti Shiner explains: “‘Alone’ was such a joy to write. The sun was shining, we were in our little studio by the sea. We started messing around with this kinda elevator music vibe and I remember starting to mumble the verse lyrics and melody out of nowhere, and we literally just ran with it. I think we had the whole thing written that afternoon.

Conceptually it’s about wanting to trap all of your friends in your house and throw a big party and never let them leave! The lockdown aftershocks were getting to us that day and I just thought, I never wanna feel alone ever again.”

The full-length, ‘Are We Gonna Be Alright’, is set for release on 14th January 2022. The band will support it with a run of tour dates that kick off in Brighton on 13th January, finishing up at London’s Electric Brixton on the 27th. You can find them after the jump.
