Fickle Friends drop brill new banger ‘Cry Baby’

Banger probably doesn't even come close. This is the toad in the hole of perfect summer pop.
Fickle Friends have dropped a brand new banger.

Titled ‘Cry Baby’, the new track got a first spin from Huw Stephens, sitting in for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. It’s three minutes of sugar spun, poppers o’clock brilliance, and you can check it out below.

Chatting to the band a few weeks back, vocalist Natti Shiner told us: “we’ve recorded only one single so far [that’s ‘Cry Baby’ – Ed] and we’re flying back next weekend to crack on with a big chunk of it. So I guess my answer is… we’re not very far into the process at all! Ask me again after the summer!”

Presumably that means they’re underway proper now. Exciting times.

You can check out an interview with the band here, a first review of ‘Cry Baby’ here, or check out the track below.
