You might not think it at first, but given a degree of contemplation, FIDLAR laying down a cover of Billie Eilish makes perfect sense.
Laying down a take on the pop prodigy’s ‘xanny’ in session for Aussie radio station triple j’s famed Like A Version strand, the woozy, punk drunk cover makes an oh-so-FIDLAR lyric swap, changing “I don’t need a xanny” to the far more Zac-Carper-on-brand “I just need a xanny”.
It’s not the only change, either. FIDLAR’s ‘xanny’ is far, far more wasted than our Billie’s.
