Finn Wolfhard has released a new song titled ‘Pieces Of Gold’ as part of his upcoming A24 film When You Finish Saving The World. The track was released under the name of his character in the film, Ziggy Katz.
Wolfhard stars as a fictional indie and folk musician in the movie, and has adopted his character’s moniker for the soundtrack. ‘Pieces Of Gold’ was released on a Spotify page credited to Wolfhard’s alter-ego, and includes a bio jokingly citing Elvis and Bob Dylan as influences. The bio reads, “Streaming live from his bedroom in the midwest, Ziggy Katz is a global sensation… Katz refers to his style as ‘classic folk rock’ but is quick to add that he ‘hates labels’. The feeling seems to be mutual.”
Wolfhard’s music career has taken off in recent years as part of the duo The Aubreys and formerly part of the now-disbanded Calpurnia. When You Finish Saving The World will hit screens on January 20th and is the directorial debut of The Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg, who also wrote the screenplay.
