Floating Points has released a new single, ‘Problems’

The track arrives via Ninja Tune alongside a trance-like music video.

Floating Points has shared a new track, ‘Problems’.

The song has already become a staple of his 2022 live sets, as the producer has recently played at festivals like Glastonbury, Sziget, Forwards and many more.

Problems’ arrives with a trance-inducing video accompaniment, directed and produced by Hamill Industries. Floating Points’ frequent collaborators have said that, “‘Problems‘ is meant to agitate every single room that its ecstatic sound waves reach.”

“We wanted to celebrate it with movement and dance and reshape it through sound, by using techniques that allow the sonification of images. We have used lasers that spin and move with the music, making visible their sinuous shapes,” they reveal. “It was important that this video shaped the electrical feeling you get when being on a dancefloor, the urge of dancing when sound waves reach your ears.”

Problems’ is the third cut from the UK producer this year, following ‘Vocoder’ in March and ‘Grammar’ in April.
