Coming off the news that they’re supporting the Rolling Stones this summer, Florence + the Machine have announced a series of intimate UK and US warm up shows throughout May.
Florence Welch’s collective recently released their comeback single ‘Sky Full of Song’ ahead of a new album later this year. They have a support slot for the Stones in London on May 25th, and numerous festival appearances in the diary.
Now Florence will be firing up the Machine with intimate shows in Scunthorpe, Halifax and London’s Royal Festival Hall in the coming weeks. They’re also popping over to the States for shows in New York and LA.
The shows will be a rare opportunity to see Flo and co. in a smaller setting before they set about ruling main stages for the foreseeable future. Tickets go on sale tomorrow and £1 per ticket sale will go to homelessness charity Shelter. All the more reason to snap up a ticket.
There’s no official news on that new album yet, though rumours suggest it’ll be called ‘High As Hope’ and arrive in June – perhaps the 29th, depending on who you believe.
