Florence Welch has a new book coming out

'Useless Magic' will include lyrics, poetry and artwork inspired by Florence's songs.
Florence + the Machine have been keeping it relatively quietly lately, but it turns out Florence has been busy finishing up her first published book.

‘Useless Magic’ will contain a mixture of old lyrics, previously unseen poetry and illustrations inspired by The Machine’s songs.

Per The Bookseller, the book will be published by Fig Tree, a subsidiary of publishing giant Penguin. “I am so thrilled to be collaborating with Penguin on my first ever book release. It is such an honour”, Welch said.

Florence + the Machine have been announced as the headliners for Melt Festival in Germany in 2018.

Florence + The Machine and The xx are leading the bill, with the latter not long having released new album ‘I See You’.

Also playing are Nina Kraviz, Tyler The Creator, Mura Masa, Jon Hopkins (Live), Cigarettes After Sex, Ben Klock, Princess Nokia and The Black Madonna.

The event will return to Ferropolis, Germany from 13th – 15th July.
