One of our most anticipated possible albums for 2018 comes from Foals. We know the band are working on new music, but today they’ve announced they’ll be doing it with one less pair of hands, with bassist Walter Gervers calling time on his involvement with the band.
A note from the band reads: “Sadly, we have to announce that our mate Walter has decided to leave the band to pursue a new life. The parting has been sad but we remain firm friends, he’ll always be our brother, we love him and wish him well in his future endeavours.
“We had 12 amazing years touring together from a small postal van to the Pyramid Stage and beyond. It’s the end of a chapter, but not the end of the book.”
The band go on to confirm they’re working on new material and are looking to release their fifth album. “It’s gonna be the best yet,” they claim.
