Folly Group have shared a new video for ‘Faint Of Hearts’.

The track is taken from their just-released new EP ‘Human And Kind’, and has a new visual directed by Oscar Carrier-Sippy with animation by Patricia Beja, Jack Greely-Ward, Yasmine Djedje-Fisher-Azoume, and Danny Mitchell.

Commenting on the video, Oscar says: “It was a lot of fun spending the time with Tom [Doherty], developing his ideas for the Faint of Hearts video. Articulating his thoughts on screen was a really interesting process. When starting, we spoke a lot about how, above all, we wanted to visually represent the push and pull between two distinct characters that’s present in the song in the editing itself, as opposed to the direction alone.

By mixing janky animation with video, I felt we really captured this, and reached a darker tone compared to previous releases. Thanks to our incredibly talented friends, we mixed and layered lots of different animation styles to compliment the audio. Without them this wouldn’t have been possible and I’m fortunate to know some amazingly talented people who really made this come together.”

Released via Ninja Tune imprint Technicolor, the band explain of the new EP: “Where ‘Awake and Hungry’ doubled as a diary of the band’s formative months and encapsulation of our live show, ‘Human and Kind’ is a projection of our ambition, and our desire to push ourselves through what we might previously have perceived as the ceiling of possibility for four players. The release is at once introspective and extroverted: it attempts to be a dynamic interrogation of grief and growth.”

Folly Group are set to head out on their first run of full-capacity headline shows supported by Qlowski and Regressive Left. The dates read:
