Fontaines D.C. are dropping their new single, ‘I Love You’, this week

Originally debuted live last year, the full studio version is arriving this Thursday (17th February).

Fontaines D.C. are set to drop another new track later this week.

‘I Love You’ is the song the band gave a live debut to at their Alexandra Palace show late last year, and is set to be the next taster of their forthcoming album ‘Skinty Fia’ when it arrives on Thursday (17th February).

The band announced the news earlier today, Valentine’s Day (14th February), by posting a short teaser on social media.

You can check out a video of it performed at the band’s recent BRITs week show at The Dome, Tufnell Park too.

The track follows up on first taster ‘Jackie Down The Line’, which arrived last month. The full-length, ‘Skinty Fia’, is set for release on 22nd April via Partisan Records.

Produced by Dan Carey, ‘Skinty Fia’ follows on from last year’s ‘A Hero’s Death’. The title is an Irish phrase that translates to English as “the damnation of the deer”. A press release explains that the “Irish giant deer is an extinct species and the band’s thoughts on Irish identity are central to ‘Skinty Fia’”.
