Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have shared a new single, ‘Parasite’

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have just dropped another new single, ‘Parasite’.

The track arrived today, November 1st, via AWAL and follows a recent collaboration with Jamie T on their new single, ‘The Drugs’. Their latest LP was 2021’s ‘Sticky’, which Dork’s 3-star review said offered “serviceable rock music which will work much better live”. The band proved this description correct by kicking off Reading Festival 2022 with a bang – you can catch up on that chaos here.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have also recently announced a three-day takeover of Camden’s The Underworld later this year, which promises to be an “intimate and sweaty” affair.

Speaking on the new track, Carter explains: “‘Parasite’ was conceived on a particularly brutal trip to the seaside where both Dean and I were in a difficult time in our lives and feeling low. It rained for a week straight and I visited Beachy Head every day and I walked the beaches below the cliff and stared at the sea. I spent hours on the phone to various friends around the world and listened to their relationship problems but I had no words of comfort, no solutions to find. Instead, I just listened and I soaked it up.”

“The collective witnessed horrors of the worldwide dating pool seemed to mirror experiences closer to home,” he continues. “On the last day of the trip at midnight I began writing and by 3am a new Parasite had been discovered.”

You can listen to ‘Parasite’ here, and watch the official lyric video below:
