Frank Ocean’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ will be released on Friday

It'll be an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks, apparently.
According to the New York Times, Frank Ocean’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ will be with us on Friday.

We’ve spent the last day watching Frank build something – reportedly a staircase – on a live stream via his website. Now, the paper is reporting the record will arrive on Friday August 5th as an Apple Music exclusive.

The release will be contained to Apple’s streaming platform for two weeks before appearing elsewhere, according to a source with knowledge of the release plans. It will come alongside a major video (possibly the stream we’re getting now, possibly something else – Ed) and the long mooted print publication, also titled Boys Don’t Cry, distributed via Apple Stores.

Apple has yet to respond to a request for comment. Keep ‘em peeled.
