Fryars is back with a brand new track, and news of a third album.
Titled ‘God Melodies’, the new offering serves as the title track to the forthcoming full-length, and will feature on the record alongside last year’s ‘Quail’s Egg No.1 In C Sharp Major’ and ‘Virtual Reality Games’.
Talking about the track, which also features vocals from Rae Morris, Fryars explains: “‘God Melodies’ is about the purity of how we receive musical ideas, when we make something from nothing. The whistling motif is how Rae and I communicate to each other from opposite ends of the house. Or to suggest whether we’re upstairs or downstairs depending on the inflection in the melody. It seemed like a good idea to preserve that in song for eternity. Every idea is handed to us, whether we like it or not. We are only curators.”
The video for the track will be unveiled over the next week on Fryars’ TikTok.
“TikTok is widely thought of as a tool for shameless self promotion or worse still, deep state subterfuge. However, it is overlooked as a great social healer, in the face of more commonly divisive social media. The world cannot be saved by music and dance but it can certainly be distracted from its more destructive impulses.” he explains.
The album ‘God Melodies’ will be released later this year. You can check out the new track below.
