Future Islands unveil new album ‘The Far Field’ with lead stormer ‘Ran’

  • Dork News Desk
  • February 1, 2017
We’ve waited a while to get our deep thinking dancing shoes on, and now Future Islands have given us a due date – confirming new album ‘The Far Field’ with lead track ‘Ran’.

Rich and full of infectious grooves from the get-go, ‘Ran’ is an indicator that the Baltimore trio are taking things up a notch with their next chapter, building on the worldwide success that was ‘Singles’. From the moment Samuel T Herring’s unparalleled voice glides into view, it’s clear that Future Islands are about to have a massive couple of years.

That LP ‘The Far Field’ will head into the world on April 7th, with the 12 track collection featuring a guest appearance from none other than Debbie Harry of Blondie fame. Future Islands will mark the release with a string of UK headline shows – heading across the country from the end of April through to early May, before headlining Green Man in August.

Head into ‘Ran’ below, along with the full ‘The Far Field’ track listing and those tour dates
