Gang Of Youths unveil a stunning MTV Unplugged version of ‘Still Unbeaten Life’

Picked to play the first ever Australian version of the programme, it’s bloody lovely

After a pretty manic 18 months, you’d think Gang Of Youths would be a bit tired by now, suitably winding down. Well, that’s not the case – with the band sharing a track from their recent MTV Unplugged appearance.

‘Still Unbeaten Life’ was released back in 2016, but got the full Unplugged treatment on the show – with Gang Of Youths becoming the first band to play the new Australian version of the programme and the first Australian act in over 25 years to play the worldwide series. Chuck in strings, the soothing tones of frontman Dave Le’aupepe and you have a pretty magic moment.

Gang Of Youths second album ‘Go Farther In Lightness’ was released over a year ago now, met with critical acclaim and sold out shows across the globe. The band will wind out the year with a string of shows with Foo Fighters in the US, their own festival ‘A More Perfect Union’ in Brisbane and a sold-out Australian tour too. Not too shabby eh?!
