Gently Tender have dropped a new single, ‘Some Hard Advice’

The indie supergroup featuring three former Palma Violets and a current Big Moon-er are back.

Gently Tender – the indie supergroup featuring three former Palma Violets and a current Big Moon-er – have dropped their second single.

Titled ‘Some Hard Advice’, it follows up on last summer’s ‘2 Chords Good’ and b-side ‘Avez Vous Dejs’.

Speaking about the track, the band’s Sam Fryer explains, “I was reading the news last year and a story caught my attention of how the island of Hawaii went into crisis and panic when everyone received an accidental text message to say that a missile was heading in their direction and they should take cover. The song is about that moment of realisation – the prospect of dying without your loved ones.”

Gently Tender are currently working on a debut album. They’re also set to play some live shows over the coming months, including Are You Listening?, Live at Leeds and Stag and Dagger festivals.
