Get the tinsel out, Creeper have covered ‘Fairytale of New York’

Can’t Swim, Microwave and Nervus will join them on the road this December.
It’s 1st December, and Creeper have bolted out of the Christmas gate with a cover of ‘Fairytale of New York’.

It’s part of a new ‘Christmas’ EP, featuring a version of ‘Blue Christmas’ and an original song ‘Same Time Next Year?’, which is set to drop next Friday, 8th December.

“Ever since we were kids ‘Fairytale of New York’ has always been our favourite Christmas song,” Will from the band explains. “Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl trading insults in the lyrics and the overall sad tone of the song always appealed to us – we’ve wanted to cover it for some time. Alongside this we covered ‘Blue Christmas’ and our own original Christmas song too. The three songs form something of a miserable Christmas EP. We are really pleased by how it all came out and hope our fans will be too. “

It precedes their Theatre of Fear headline tour, on which they’re supported by Can’t Swim, Microwave and Nervus.

The jaunt, in support of Creeper’s debut album ‘Eternity, In Your Arms’, will kick off in Glasgow this weekend before calling off in Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester and Southampton.
