Girl Ray pay homage to Queen and Bowie with their new single, ‘Up’

It's a cut from their third album 'Prestige', due this summer.

Girl Ray have shared their new single ‘Up’.

It’s a cut from their not-long-announced third album, ‘Prestige’. The full-length is set to arrive on 4th August via Moshi Moshi, and has already been preceded by ‘Hold Tight’.

Guitarist and lead singer Poppy Hankin says: “Written at the beginning of my current relationship, ‘Up’ deals with all the emotions of a fledgling romance: adoration, self-doubt, and everything in between! Musically we wanted to pay homage to the sparseness of Queen’s ‘Cool Cat’, and the groove of Bowie’s ‘Fame'”

Check it out below.
