Gorillaz are back! Check out the aptly timed ‘Hallelujah Money’ now

The track features Mercury Prize-winning Benjamin Clementine.
After much teasing at the back end of last year, Gorillaz are back with a brand new track.

‘Hallelujah Money’ drops on the eve of Donald Trump’s inauguration – and the track, which features Mercury Prize-winning Benjamin Clementine, seems to be timed for maximum effect.

Bassist Murdoc Niccals said: “In these dark times, we all need someone to look up to. Me. That’s why I’m giving you this new Gorillaz song, a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. You’re welcome. Now piss on! The new album’s not gonna write itself.”

Standing in a gold plated elevator, Clementine delivers a shuddering vocal. You can check it out below.
