Gorillaz have announced when they’ll be dropping their new collaboration with Tame Impala, ‘New Gold’.

The track got a first spin during the Gorillaz’ All Points East headline set on Friday (19th August).

Before playing the track, Damon Albarn explained to the crowd: “We’re gonna play an entirely new song now. It’s kind of a mad song, to be honest with you, and I want to introduce Tame Impala … and Bootie Brown.”

Now, we know when we’ll hear it in full recorded glory, as the group announce it’ll be released next Wednesday, 31st August.
