Grace Jones replaces M.I.A. as Afropunk London headliner

Laura Mvula, Loyle Carner, Lady Leshurr and MNEK also amongst new additions.
After the whole hoopla of M.I.A. being announced then removed, then confirmed, and then removed again – Afropunk London have announced a brand new headliner in the shape of 80s icon Grace Jones.

(It’s actually Grace Jones. Not just someone in her shape. Her shape is pretty unique – Ed)

Jones joins the bill alongside a string of cracking new names including Laura Mvula, Loyle Carner, Lady Leshurr, MNEK, Goldlink, Jorja Smith and Skinny Girl Diet. That’s on top of the likes of HO9909, Akala, Don Letts and Benjamin Booker amongst others – marking the very first Afropunk event in London.

Taking place at Alexandra Palace on September 24th, tickets are on sale now.
