Gracie Abrams has shared her new single, ‘Difficult’, which was co-written with and produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner.

The pair are frequent collaborators – he also worked on her last single, April’s ‘Block me out’. Their newest offering adopts a more expansive and high-energy sound, but finds its basis in relentless introspection.

Dessner shared the following comments with Abrams via social media early this morning: “So proud of you and grateful for your friendship and to be part of your journey. Love this song and ALL the songs we’ve made. Lots of folks contributed, will mention tomorrow.”
